Progress has a full service police department consisting of 21 officers and 9 civilian employees.

The department has three divisions. The Patrol Division provides day to day, community oriented police services including bicycle patrol, a K-9 unit, a full time School Resource Officer, and a High Risk Entry and Arrest Team. The Investigations Division conducts follow up investigations and provides crime scene processing, photographic support, records management, polygraph examinations and bomb technicians. The Support Services Division operates our Communications Center and is responsible for building and fleet maintenance.
